EdPsychEd Ltd is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050.

Baseline emissions footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Baseline year: 2025 (1 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, our financial year).

Additional details relating to the baseline emissions calculations: we have not previously assessed or reported our emissions, so we use our first reporting period as our baseline.

We are a micro business with two directors and no employees in the baseline year. We have no premises, no company vehicles and no equipment that burns fuel, so our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions are nil. The directors and our contractors work from their own homes, and our courses are delivered online through cloud services. Our training and our meetings with clients take place online.

We report on an operational control basis, covering our UK operations. The five Scope 3 categories required by the PPN 006 technical standard are included as follows:

• Category 4, upstream transportation and distribution: 0.00 tCO2e (about 20 letters and 10 small parcels posted in the year, under 0.01 tCO2e)
• Category 5, waste generated in operations: 0.03 tCO2e
• Category 6, business travel: 0.00 tCO2e (no business travel in the year)
• Category 7, employee commuting: there is no commuting, as the directors work from home. We also include the directors' homeworking, which the technical standard allows as an optional addition: 0.27 tCO2e (two directors working from home 15 hours a week each over 28 weeks)
• Category 9, downstream transportation and distribution: 0.00 tCO2e

Emissions are calculated in tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e) using the UK Government greenhouse gas conversion factors for company reporting (2025).

Current emissions reporting

Reporting year: 1 November 2024 to 31 October 2025. This is our first plan, so our reporting year is also our baseline year. We will update this plan for the year to 31 October 2026 by 30 April 2027.

Emissions reduction targets

In order to continue our progress to achieving net zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.

We will keep our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions at zero, keep our training and client meetings online, and avoid air travel for business. As the team grows, we will keep our emissions per full-time equivalent member of staff at or below our 2025 baseline, and will report total emissions each year.

We project total emissions of 0.64 tCO2e in the year ending 31 October 2031 as a developer joins us and the directors' hours rise, which keeps within that target. Once our annual emissions exceed 1 tCO2e, we will offset that year's emissions through a verified UK scheme such as the Woodland Carbon Code, and report offsets separately from our emissions.

Carbon reduction projects

Completed carbon reduction initiatives

This is our first plan, so no reduction against the 2025 baseline has yet been measured. The following measures were already in place in the baseline year and will be in effect when performing the contract:

• our courses are delivered online, which avoids travel for learners and for us;
• our systems are cloud-based, so we run no servers or office of our own;
• the directors and our contractors work from home, so there is no commuting to a workplace.

Future carbon reduction initiatives

In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:

• recording business travel as it happens, from 1 November 2026, and estimating homeworking hours each year;
• following a travel policy: online by default, rail before car, and visits combined where possible;
• choosing cloud and software suppliers with published net zero or renewable energy commitments where we can;
• keeping computers in use for longer;
• asking our contractors and key suppliers about their own plans.

Declaration and sign off

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 006 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.

Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and uses the appropriate government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.

Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements (where required), and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body). The board of directors of EdPsychEd Ltd approved this plan on 15 October 2026.
